IRATI XTREM 2024 GRANFONDO REGULATIONS
1- The 16 “IRATI XTREM” GRANFONDO will take place the 15st of June 2024, Saturday, at 9:00 in Otsagabia (Navarre)
2- You must be 18 to take part in IRATI XTREM, and it’s necessary to be affiliated for the current year (2024). In case of not being affiliated, it’s OBLIGATORY to contract the day insurance offered and valid only for the event.
3- It will be OBLIGATORY to present an ID and Affiliation ID to collect the number. If no Affiliation ID is presented, the day insurance will have to be contracted. With no ID, no number will be given. If you want to collect someone else’s number, you’ll have to present the official authorisation and the documents indicated there.
4- Registration is individual and non transferable
5- Riders without number are not allowed.
6- You are responsible for your own safety. Traffic laws are to be obeyed and breaking them is an offence. Participants are fully responsible for any infraction.
7- The use of helmet is obligatory during the race.
8- The organization will not be held responsible for:
- Accidents caused by or to any participant, as every participant must have their own personal insurance.
- Any cost, equipment loss or damage incurred during the race.
9- Free mechanical support during the race will be provided except for spare parts..
10- The roads will not be closed to road traffic during the race. However, the route will be well signaled for the cyclists
11- Circumstances can force race organizers to:
-Cancel the race, in which case participants will be given all the gifts but registration payment will not be given back. The race will be suspended until next year.
-Change and modify the course route or halt it temporarily if circumstances make this necessary.
12- In no case will be allowed to overtake the Vehicle opening the event, under risk of expulsion, In that case, he’ll have to give the number and continue under his own risk.
13- In some point where the safety is under risk, the speed of the participants can be regulated by the organization’s vehicles. In that case, all the indications of the staff must be followed.
14- The organization can stop the event to solve any incident.
15- If due to force majeure (pandemic, storm or other reason) the Granfondo cannot be held, the Organization will not refund the registration fee. If this case occurs, the Organization is not responsible for any extra expenses related to participation such as accommodation or travel. However, the Organization undertakes to explore the option of modifying the dates or moving the event to the following year. Therefore, the option to transfer registration to the new date will be offered.
16- Nor will any amount be refunded (not even for registration) to cyclists who, having paid registration in advance, do not attend the ride. The gift bag will be delivered to these on the dates, place and times established for this purpose. In no case will personal shipments be made.
17- Registering for the race means the acceptance of the rules and regulations and overiding all rights against the race organization for damage caused during the race.
18- For control and safety reasons, the road from the Artaburu summit will be closed from one o’clock. From then on, all cicyists will be diverted towards Surzai without climbing the Col de Errozate.
19- The participant is obliged to give up all image copyrights for the pictures or videos taken in the event to the Organization, so they can be used for commercial purposes, to be shown in social networks, or any other needs the organization may find.
20- IRATI XTREM is a GREEN EVENT so you must respect the Road Safety Laws and the Environment.
All participants should therefore:
-Respect other route users.
-Avoid dangerous situations.
-Be aware of the risks implied.
-Respect road safety rules.
-Enjoy the views and respect the environment.
-Look after yourself and the route and don’t litter.
ANYONE NOT RESPECTING THESE RULES WILL BE FIRED AND HE'LL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE PART IN OUR FUTURE EVENTS
